It's who we Are.

From it's conception, the IFCT has been focused on family and community. Whether it be helping a high school have a theatre program, producing family show, or even donating money to a school, we believe in getting involved in the community and are committed to helping others.
"But IFCT, why are you partnering up with the Susan G Koman Foundation?"
Well about a month ago, a very dear friend of my daughter's mother died of breast cancer. She was not old.  She was in the prime of her life. Her son had just graduated high school and was collage bound. It was a busy time and the discomfort she was feeling was "nothing, it would pass." But it did not. In less than 6 months, the pain and discomfort drove her to see a doctor. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to other parts of her body. She died one month later.
In the following weeks, as I relayed the tragic story to others, I was amazed at how many in the IFCT family and beyond had been touched by this horrible disease. Some stories were of survival because it was cought early, some were not.
The terrible truth is that in 2025, an estimated 42,170 women in the US are expected to die from breast cancer.  While rare, breast cancer can occur in men and it's estimated that about 2,800 men will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in 2025, with approximately 510 expected not to live.

This is why the IFCT has partnered with The Susan G, Koman Foundation.

Founded in 1982 by Nancy Brinker after her sister Susan's death from breast cancer, The Susan G. Koman Foundation has become a leading force in the fight against breast cancer, investing in research, community health, and global outreach. Because of their efforts, the rate of undiagnosed and late treatment if the disease has dropped. But there is still so much that is needed to be done. With your help we can do it.  Let's make it so one else needs to die from breast cancer.
